Some progress

Doing a little piecing between cleaning and laundry. Only have two star blocks left to do and one border strip left to piece. Might have the top done by the end of tomorrow.....Getting the guest room ready for our next guest arriving on Tuesday. No kids...a good friend. Then when he leaves, I have a day to get ready for Sharon Schamber's arrival on the 11th. I'm hosting her while she's here doing a series of classes for my guild, including a longarm class here in my studio for some of the longarm quilters in the guild.

July and August this year are giving our guest room a workout! Good thing I have a live in Chef! Thanks, honey...I couldn't do it without you.

  1. We are also experiencing a higher than normal amount of guest activity this summer! Have someone coming in Friday and then again on the 20th. Very stressful for a hermit! good think I really like all of these people! LOL!

  2. I'd forgotten you were hosting the longarm class. I'm looking forward to 3 weeks of being home alone except for the weekends...hopefully I'll get some work done.

  3. Deb, I really enjoy your blog, in fact I read it through start to finish
Thursday night. It was a great distraction (my 8 year old Rotti died on Wednesday & I haven't been able to sleep since) Please keep up the blog, as I am sure I am not the only one who has benefited greatly. THANK YOU!!
I have to tell you though that I am green with envy that you get to have Sharon Schamber teach and stay with you. She is lucky that she doesn't have to stay with me cuz I am sure she would wake up in the middle of the night to find me quitly staring at her hoping to absorb some of that amazing talent. Enjoy the classes as I am sure you will learn lots I know her videos on the network are amazing she makes you feel as if you can do amazing things.
I can't wait to read the posts!!!

  6. Yup, love the quilt. As for Sharon, I'd be trying to find some way to 'mind meld' and get her creativity into my own blockhead.
