Also today, the county officer came to inspect our new yard, and we were recognized as a "Florida friendly landscape" That relates to green friendly, as in low water requirements, native plants that don't require fertilizers, trees, and plants that attract and feed wildlife.
And to top it off, I got a new postcard from Mary, commemorating her trip to visit me!

The cardinal would be reward enough for me, my DH would love to see that! Congratulations on making your habitat green and friendly.
ReplyDeleteMy On Track hasn't arrived yet either! Your yard looks great.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Your yard is outstanding! I love cardinals and love when they visit my yard.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that you haven't gotten your issue of On Track yet...you know J doesn't come that much sooner than L.
ReplyDeleteSo the landscapers are done? The photos look great!
I got my On Track yesterday in the mail and I live in Belgium. BTW, well done on the garden
ReplyDeleteThe certification from the Cardinal is THE BEST certification IMHO!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the postcard:)
What you've done with your yard is awesome!
ReplyDeleteYour garden is lovely, congrats. Now, a little further north in Georgia, I suppose a "Georgia friendly landscape" would be brown and crispy, since they're not allowed to water! We've got the brown and crispy yard too here in southeastern Tennessee, but we've got a river so we can still water the plants, at least, and try to keep them going. It would be interesting if you posted the names of plants you used that are low-water users.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of water friendly yards. More water for the fish.
