A new baby!

bird, that is. A dove to be exact. The little thing hatched this morning while I was at the doctor's. I didn't want to get too close and spook the Mom, but if you click to enlarge the picture you can see the little head and eye right under Mom's head. Don't know if there is another egg.
We'll know in a day or two.

    Hi, aren't doves wonderful? I have a pair that are currently sitting on their 3rd batch of eggs this summer. I moved in April and bought a hanging basket of flowers and the doves decided to make it their home...the flowers are dead but the babies (and their parents) love it. Of course they are practically under our heads when we sit out side! Silly birds!
